Safety Precautions
:::caution Read first Please read these precautions carefully. Misuse may cause injury, lock failure, or void your warranty. :::
- Do not repair the product yourself. Disassembly may cause electric shock or damage. Contact a qualified technician.
- Check the environment before installation. Avoid locations exposed to direct rain, direct sunlight, or extreme temperature swings outside the rated range.
- Read the manual carefully before using the lock.
- Change your PIN periodically. Treat it like a password — change it every few months and whenever a keyholder leaves.
- Do not knock or apply force to the lock. Slamming the door against the lock body can bend the bolt or crack the housing.
- Protect the product from wetness and moisture. Even though the outer body is rated for outdoor use, submerging or pressure-washing will damage the electronics.
- Replace all batteries at once. Mixing old and new batteries can leak and corrode the battery terminals.
- Clean the lock with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
- Use the product as intended. The lock is designed for residential and light-commercial doors within the rated specifications.
